Featuring an ominous shot of Apocalypse as he explains his "cure" machine to Mystique, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel its an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season one episode "The Cure," which aired on February 20, 1993. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, with the character image measuring 8"x9.75", the cel is in very good condition with minor scratches, light surface wear, slight line fade, and paper backing stuck to the reverse of the paint from studio use and storage. The cel has been paired with a color copy reproduction background for display purposes.
